Maye Musk. Though often identified based on her role as the mother of Elon Musk, Kimbal Musk, and Tosca Musk, Maye Musk has been a celebrity in her own right for decades. Not only is she able to brighten up any room with her radiant beauty and energy in her 70s, but she's also been a great inspiration to many as a best-selling author, dietitian, supermodel, and speaker.
We couldn't have been more honored to have invited the amazing Maye Musk to kick off the OLEADA Lounge series. A supportive fan of OLEADA, Maye expressed her love for the brand and shared with us her experiences and wisdom as a successful multi-disciplinary role model.

Maye has received the highest recognition as a dietitian in three different countries. She is an expert in maintaining well-being through a balanced nutritious diet. We were surprised to find out that, having been a supermodel all her life, Maye is not genetically slim. She is a very disciplined eater who follows a vegetarian diet at home, but she would also eat seafood and other kinds of meat when eating outside. According to Maye, if she didn't watch her diet, she'd gain weight very easily and lose lots of energy. "It doesn't feel very good when your clothes no longer fit", she laughed.
Life has not always been a smooth journey for Maye. Once suffered from an abusive marriage, Maye believes in removing herself from toxic influences in life - even if that meant moving to another country and raising three children on her own. There will always be people who try to tell you you're not good enough. When asked about how to stay confident, Maye said, "I don‘t always have my confidence, but when you lost your confidence, you need to move fast away from the negativity so you can get your confidence back." Nurture the love for yourself in the right environment.

"Say 'Yes'" is the title of one of the chapters in Maye's best-selling book, A Woman Makes A Plan. When answering the question from the audience about the most memorable "yes" she had ever said, Maye said it was the decision to move to Canada alone with three kids. All four of them had to sleep on the carpet at the beginning because they had so little money back then there was no money left to buy furniture after renting the apartment. We could imagine it must have been a difficult time for them, but Maye was cheerful and laughed about it when she shared these struggling stories from the past. If not for this big decision, she wouldn't have the opportunity to raise her three children - Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca - in a healthy, toxic-free environment.
Maye said this at the age of 73. Even though she has already achieved so much in her life, she is still looking forward to more adventures ahead. We are deeply touched by Maye's grace, optimism, and exuberance. She is such an inspiration, and we couldn't think of a better way to start our OLEADA Lounge series.
